Pizza 3: The Mummy is a 2023 Tamil-language horror thriller film directed by Mohan Govind. It is the third installment in the Pizza franchise, but is unconnected to the previous films. The film stars Ashwin Kakumanu and Pavithra Marimuthu in the lead roles.
The film follows Nalan (Kakumanu), a pizza delivery boy who is haunted by a series of murders that take place exactly where he delivers food. Nalan meets Kayal (Marimuthu), an app developer who creates an app that allows people to communicate with the dead. Kayal uses her app to help Nalan investigate the murders and uncover the truth behind the malevolent spirit that is terrorizing them.
The film begins with a flashback to 1993, where a group of friends accidentally awaken an ancient Egyptian mummy. The mummy kills several of the friends, but is eventually defeated by the remaining friend, Vishwanathan (Vinay Rai). Vishwanathan then buries the mummy’s skull in a quarry.In the present day, Nalan is working as a pizza delivery boy. He begins to experience strange occurrences, such as seeing visions of the mummy and hearing voices in his head. Nalan also notices that a series of murders are taking place in the same areas where he delivers pizzas.Nalan meets Kayal, an app developer who is working on an app that allows people to communicate with the dead. Kayal uses her app to help Nalan investigate the murders and uncover the truth behind the malevolent spirit that is terrorizing them.
